A very big thank you to our amazing members who work so well together to put on our TD/TDX test including a lovely hot meal with homemade soup, pulled pork, salads, fixings and desserts. Thank you to CKC Judge Jack Wilhelm for all his hard work plotting tracks and judging our test. It was a pleasure for all of us to work with you. Thank you also to those who came out to support the club and watch the test as well, we had a large and wonderful gallery that was quiet and respectful of the dogs and handlers on track. Scenting Seminar with Kim Cooper-April 28 &29, 2012
When it comes to tracking it doesn't get any better than Kim Cooper at Scentral Ontario Trackers!
We had an amazing weekend in Guelph field and urban tracking with Kim. Her wealth of knowledge, experience and teaching quality is unsurpassed. Everyone learned so much and it was fun! People and dogs all had a great time. It was inspiring, intriguing and there were many 'ah-ha' moments for members of SOT.

We started early Saturday morning meeting at Second Cup and then on to TDX tracking. Each track was followed with an in debth debrief. The focus on reading our dogs, handling skills, distractions and corners was awesome. Saturday afternoon we tracked again using what we learned in the morning and everyone saw improvement. Saturday ended with 2 urban dogs and supper out for everyone that could make it.

Sunday bright and early was for 2 field tracks and handling. We then shifted to Urban tracking skills, drills and tracks. This is the second time we've had Kim come to present a seminar for us. The unanimous question at the end of day 2 was - when are you coming back?!
Fabulous people, amazing dogs and great weather + Kim Cooper and Breeze was a super successful working seminar!
